I am 14 and I just got a 1986 Bronco II Eddie Bauer 4x4.  I have already bought new exhaust manifolds, a new tail pipe, and a new windshield.  I bought the Bronco II a couple weeks ago for $1,000 and have been cleaning it up ever since.  The parts I have bought are not on it yet.  It's mostly original except for an Alpine CD player.  Tell me what you think.  Here are some pictures:

Looks like it was well taken care of.  Good buy.

That's a lot nicer than mine was when I got it. My Bronco II is my first vehicle too, I got it when I was 17 and it was in such bad shape I got it for free.

I just got a new windshield put in today.  I had found a couple other bronco II's, but they were all manual trans.  I had a few hundred bucks to put with it for parts.  If you look at the pictures you will see that the roof still is faded.  I used A rubbing compound to get the rest looking as good as it does.  I am getting a 1998 Mustang GT to drive in the summer, so this is nice for a winter vehicle.

Thanks for all the comments.  I am going to get a luggage rack and a tire rack with spare to put on it.  I headed to the junkyard today and found a great transmission crossmember out of a 1987 Ford Ranger ext cab.

It's going to be my daily driver, so I plan on making it look and run great.

Here are some pictures of the parts I already have:

I also have some pics from when I first got it home and using rubbing compound + wax  on the hood.  Notice the difference in paint between the pictures first posted (newer) to these.  The paint had tons of oxidation from sitting outside.

Mine looked orange when I got it, but looks like deep red now.  The paint feels smoother too.  The only rust on the exterior is on the Eddie Bauer tan.

It's hard to find those tires at a good price.  I was at the junkyard yesterday and found an immaculate 60/40 front seat out of a 1987 Ford Ranger Ext Cab.  I only paid $45 for the whole thing with belts.  It's already installed in my Bronco II, so I will get pics up soon.  I also bought a roof rack from another Bronco II for $20 and various other things.  I'll also post pics of my rust damage on the left front floor pan.
